Altum Consulting is proud to be partnering with an ambitious humanitarian iNGO to help them recruit a finance officer. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the programme finance team by supporting the partners of the organisation with accurate financial reports.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Preparing weekly payment runs using Microsoft Business Central.
  • Setting up and making sure all payments are released using the online banking system.
  • Processing all staff expenses, including monthly credit card returns and reconciling cash advances.
  • Ensure all the transactions are processed accurately in Microsoft Business Central.
  • Assisting the financial accountant with balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assisting the financial accountant with any system or process improvements.

Candidate Specification:

  • Ideally, be a qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA/CIPFA, or equivalent).
  • Ideally have experience in the finance department of an international NGO.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience working with multiple currencies.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong general IT skills.
