Our client is seeking a dedicated and proactive Finance Officer to join their team and support the organisations Finance Manager in managing the day-to-day finances. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the organisation's financial development and ensure the effective and efficient deployment of budgets.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in administering, maintaining, and developing the finance system, providing support for other users when required.
  • Process invoices (purchase and sales).
  • Liaise with suppliers
  • Review bank reconciliations, highlighting any issues for the Finance Manager.
  • Prepare and process BACS and other payments.
  • Manage petty cash documentation for approval.
  • Review credit card authorisations and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Process periodic transfers of inter-company charges.
  • Review and process VAT returns.
  • Assist in value for procurement efficiency exercises.
  • Provide general help, support, and training to the central finance team and local finance teams.

You will be:

    • Holder of an accounting qualification eg AAT at Level 3 or other equivalent qualification
    • Systems literate with good working knowledge of Excel
    • A working knowledge of financial packages
