We are looking for an experienced individual to join a growing business based in the Preston area who require a Finance Manager to join them in this is a newly created position. The company is under new leadership and has exciting plans for growth, the role will assist in refining the current financial reporting processes across the Group to allow for better understanding with this growth in mind.

It is a fast-paced organisation so you will need to build gravitas and work towards consolidating the processes and controls across this multi-site operation on both UK and European sites.

You will be able to enhance the effectiveness of internal data provided to the Board, departmental managers, and stakeholders, while at the same time managing a small finance team and encouraging personal growth for those individuals.

Duties as Finance Manager will include:

  • Co-ordinate the reporting of the month end management accounts with commentary ready for the Board.

  • Provide a deeper dive into the commercial controls and processes with customer trends and product analysis of the business.

  • Interrogate the group GP and develop the transparency of revenue margins in line with desired commercial outcomes.

  • Manage the VAT/Tax and HMRC compliance and reporting including European entities.

  • Review the financial controls and process' and streamline efficiencies to achieve a cohesive reporting pack.

  • Manage the financial obligations of the business and be the audit lead.

  • Prepare the budgeting and forecasting process alongside the FD.

  • Preparation of the payroll as well as all associated reconciliations and queries.

  • Manage a finance team and provide leadership and support for individual growth.
