Title: Finance Manager

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 + bonus

Location: Fitzrovia/Soho, London - (100% remote initially, then 3 days in the office)

Our client is a charity organisation within the arts & media sector, headquartered in Central London. They are currently looking for a technically adept Finance Manager.

Supporting the Financial Controller, the ideal candidate will be responsible for the accounting, tax, financial reporting, performance and working capital management for the company.

Job Responsibilities:

• Update and maintain the organisation’s bookkeeping system

• Set up new bookkeeping and accounts systems as required

• Prepare monthly P&L statements, balance sheets and cash flow reports

• Ensure compliance with Charities Commission regulations and have an understanding of SORP and SOFA accounting.

• Prepare documentation and assist with the annual audit process, liaising with auditors to provide necessary information and resolve any queries. Manage the data integrity of the Financial Systems and documentation, including filing invoices.

• Handle receipts and payments

• Process Gift Aid claims where applicable

• Support the organisation with projects and tasks as required

• Respond to queries over the telephone, email and face to face

Requirements:

• Educated to degree level. AAT /ACCA / CIMA qualified

• Previous experience working in a similar role

• Previous experience of charity and non-profit accounting

• Experience of creating management accounts as well as delivering general bookkeeping

• Working knowledge of bookkeeping software and Xero

• Making payments
