An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Finance Manager to join a dynamic and inclusive healthcare business. This role offers the chance to lead a dedicated team of accountants, ensuring the production of accurate and reliable monthly management accounts. The successful candidate will enjoy a competitive salary range of £45,000 - £55,000 and the chance to work in the vibrant area of South Manchester. What you'll do:
As a Finance Manager, you will play an integral role in leading the production of monthly management accounts. You will be responsible for managing a team of four accountants, driving engagement through regular one-to-one meetings. Your role will involve preparing and reviewing monthly balance sheet reconciliations while maintaining a strong control environment. You will also be tasked with managing both external and internal audit processes, ensuring all requirements are met. Your proactive approach will drive continuous improvement within the monthly and quarterly reporting calendar.

  • Lead the accounting close process for entities under your remit on a monthly basis adhering to strict deadlines
  • Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, maintaining a strong control environment
  • Complete and review monthly reporting files and quarterly reporting packs
  • Support the accounting team in the delivery of the accounting close and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Manage external and internal audit processes, working closely with audit teams to ensure all requirements are met
  • Drive continuous improvement within the monthly and quarterly reporting calendar and the external reporting process
  • Manage a team of 4 staff, ensuring they are developed, trained and supported
  • Provide advice and guidance to other departments on accounting issues as requested

Your knowledge and experience of Microsoft Excel will be strong, and you'll have experience managing a team.
