Butler Rose is pleased to be working with an Exeter based business to recruit a Finance Manager on a permanent basis.

This is a lead finance role, reporting into the Managing Director, with the following responsibilities.

  • Overall responsibility of the day to day running of the finance department including managing a small finance team.
  • Preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts.
  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and key control accounts.
  • Preparation of annual statutory accounts information and liaising with external auditors.
  • Preparation of detailed cashflow and treasury management.
  • Day to day book-keeping within the company as required.
  • Oversee weekly and monthly payroll and weekly CIS payments.
  • Ensure tax compliance, including VAT, PAYE. CIS and corporation tax.
  • Preparation of yearly budgets and forecasts.
  • Manage accounts receivable reviewing credit risk and customer payment performance.
  • Manage accounts payable including monthly payment runs.
  • Provide margin analysis highlighting key trends and potential issues.
  • Support with a variety of HR tasks to comply with legislation.

The successful candidate will be a formally qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or qualified by experience with a demonstrable skill set. On offer is the opportunity to work for a successful business, with a path to Finance Director over time.
