Finance Manager

My client is seeking a Bookkeeper to join our busy organisation, which encompasses commercial contracting as well as manufacturing and retailing a wide range of fencing and landscaping products. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience and the ability to manage all aspects of limited company accounts, reporting directly to the Managing Director.
Day-to-day of the role:- Processing and checking purchase invoices against POs, entering data into Sage, and filing hard copies.
- Managing payments of vendor invoices, tracking bank account balances, and reconciling bank statements.
- Completing VAT returns and ensuring correct payments are made on time, with a good understanding of VAT and CIS regulations.
- Preparing and processing payroll, maintaining employee records.
- Preparing monthly financial statements including profit & loss, balance sheets, and presenting accounts with project costings to the management team.
- Preparing annual limited company accounts for handover to accountants.
- Maintaining excellent knowledge of Sage and demonstrating attention to detail and accuracy in financial management.
- AAT qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in bookkeeping.
- Proficient in Sage accounting software.
- Strong understanding of VAT and CIS regulations.
- Experience in preparing financial statements and completing VAT returns.
- Skilled in payroll processing and maintaining accurate employee records.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial management.
- Competitive salary £35,000 PA, dependent on experience.
- 21 annual holidays.
- Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm working hours.
