This multiple-award winning scripted TV Production indie already has impressive range of multi-genre titles with a worldwide reputation for delivering successful, cutting edge and high-quality content.

They now require a hands-on but commercially astute Finance Manager.

Reporting to the CFO managing the day-to-day financial operations incorporating reporting, actuals and budgeting & planning/FP&A as well as leading/developing a small finance team.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Managing the finance function ensuring all accounting & reporting is accurate and timely.
  • Preparing accurate monthly management accounts including cashflow and group consolidation.
  • Manage/develop their planning function including annual budgets, quarterly forecast, long-range plans and ad hoc financial modelling/analysis as directed by the CFO
  • Working with the auditors to ensure a smooth, efficient and timely year end audit process.
  • Preparing departmental reports to ensure department heads manage their budgets effectively in line with company policy.      
  • Responsibility for VAT submissions including the SPV VAT groups.
  • Working closely with the Production Executives/Managers to ensure production cost reports are kept up to date and productions remain on budget.
  • Oversight and management of individual Production Accounting teams on larger scripted projects.
  • Responsibility for UK tax credit submissions on completion of productions ensuring all costs have been captured and the cost reports are accurate.
  • Ensuring financial controls are fit for purpose and implemented correctly.

Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Proven background in managing a month-end process
  • TV /Film production experience preferred but not essential but a passion/interest in the industry is paramount
  • Able to show initiative and be proactive in suggesting improvements to working practices
  • A self-starter who can work autonomously and manage multiple projects/deadlines all at once
  • Pro-active with a natural curiosity and good sense of humour  
  • Thrives in a fast-paced but relaxed and creative environment.
