Financial Controller
  • Location: Tonbridge
  • Salary: £50K–£60K per year
  • Job Type: Permanent and Full Time
  • Work Arrangement: Office based

I am seeking a Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations for a manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic approach to managing financial activities, ensuring compliance and efficiency while supporting the company’s growth objectives.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies in alignment with the company’s goals.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying trends and recommending improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
  • Work closely with management to share reports and analysis findings.
  • Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and control systems.
  • Oversee cash flow management and develop strategies to optimise financial resources.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure the financial health of the organisation.

Required skills & qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager, particularly in the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
  • Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Analytical mind with good strategic ability.
