Description

• Manage and lead the finance team, including financial analysts, accountants, and other finance professionals, providing guidance, and support as needed.
• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and forecasts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard company assets, mitigate risks, and improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Monitor financial performance and key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement, and providing actionable insights to senior management.
• Coordinate and support the annual budgeting and planning process, working closely with department heads to establish financial targets and objectives.
• Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to optimise financial resources and support business operations and growth initiatives.
• Stay up-to-date on changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends, and implement necessary changes and updates to financial policies and procedures.

Profile

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership position.
• Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop teams.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner to senior management and stakeholders.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving results and achieving business objectives.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management software.
• Ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• May be working towards an accountancy degree
