Robert Half are working with our client, a rapidly growing business based in Central Bristol who have exciting plans on the horizon, in their recruitment of a Finance Manager on a permanent basis. Thinking about succession planning, this role will be deputising for the Head of Finance when necessary, so in time there is most likely to be opportunities for career development. The position will be responsible for monthly financial procedures including preparation of annual statutory and regulatory reports, month end management accounts, and run month end and external audit. Outside of this, you will be supporting on finance projects working closely with non finance stakeholders.

Hybrid working is supported with a 3(in office)/ 2 split and the salary on offer is up to c£75,000 + benefits. Culture is friendly, collaborative and innovative and you will be reporting into someone with extensive experience who you'd be able to learn from.

Responsibilities:

  • Management and reporting on budgets
  • Ensure all month end deadlines are met, and prepare the month end timetable
  • Ensure all statutory financial statement and regulatory reporting deadlines are met
  • Produce the year end statutory accounts
  • Manage the external audit process
  • Support in finance inputs into the business plan
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support in the preparation of the budget and ensure forecasting & variance analysis reports are completed in a timely manner
  • Support in the preparation of board reports
  • Supervise work of more junior members of staff
  • Partner with non finance in finance projects, streamlining and enhancing processes

About You:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified
  • Prior experience of month end/ management accounts prep
  • Strong in person, be a good communicator
  • Technically astute
  • Prior financial services industry experience
