Citadel Source are delighted to be partnering with a Private equity backed services business based in Bristol to recruit a Finance Manager to report into the CFO.

This exciting opportunity will be a 'number two’ role within a SME environment so will naturally have a broad range of responsibilities. You will be responsible for reviewing, implementing, and maintaining best practice for the group. Following several recent acquisitions, the business requirements will be focused on refining systems/data/reporting and ensuring that the business has robust controls and processes to support future growth strategy.

This role will deputise the CFO and support on future acquisition and investment appraisal activity. You will also support acquisition and lead on due diligence and integration activities.

About you

You will be excited to work in an ever-evolving and autonomous environment. You will have strong financial control and wider operations knowledge and academically be bright enough to pick up any areas of which you have not been exposed to be able to oversee more junior members of staff.

You will enjoy a broad role which will offer a range of challenge but will especially be passionate about continuous improvement and partnering with the CFO to drive the business forward toward a potential transaction in the future.

The role

This role is key to the CFO plans to push the business forward and build a robust and scalable finance function which provides visibility and clear direction to the SLT. The successful candidate will be able to prioritise a constant workload, enjoy managing a team and enjoy partnering with senior stakeholders, such as the CFO on business-critical work.

As a Finance Manager your role will include but not limited to:

  • Prepare the company’s financial accounts for audit ensuring they are presented accurately and on time
  • Prepare and file the Group and it’s subsidiaries corporation tax returns
  • Maintain the Group’s cash flow forecast and Capex management
  • Provide support on acquisition activity from due diligence support through to post transaction integration.
  • Liaise with the company solicitors and accountants to support the corporate restructure
  • Develop and maintain all necessary systems, policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient financial management within the company
  • Manage the Group’s operational banking facilities

What the Client has to offer

  • A salary level of £45,000 to £55,000
