Hays Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be partnering with a property investment and landowner company, who are looking for a Finance Manager to oversee the day-to-day finances as well as be involved in major property & land development projects across Norfolk. This is a unique opportunity to be working for an organisation which has and will continue to invest locally in various commercial & residential developments as they further develop their impressive portfolio.

Your new role
In the role of Finance Manager / Accountant, you will take the trial balance to produce a set of management accounts to include variance reports on project costs, analysis of various income streams from projects and investments.

Your core duties will be working with the Managing Director and the Senior Management Team on monitoring the costs of specific property projects such as re-furbishments, re-configuring of office blocks, and the income analysis of potential land development for commercial and/or retail use. Any experience of property investments and/or property management would be an advantage, but this is not essential. However, you will have experience of managing cash flow, reporting on project costs, analysing income streams.

As the capital grows, the business will re-invest in other commercial projects, including established buildings in the Kings Lynn area, which, in parts, will be let out on various types of leases, and parts which are anticipated to become museums or galleries, promoting and educating the public, in both the local history and the antiques and art which will be displayed therein.

There will be other finance duties including reconciliation of bank accounts, processing a small payroll and ad-hoc duties as you will support the external accountant. You will be based in the offices located North of Kings Lynn, on the way to Sandringham.

What you'll need to succeed
Ideally, you will have experience of property management, finance and/or property investments and have worked with Managing Agents in the commercial or residential property sectors along with the ability to produce monthly account management accounts to include variance reports.

Any formal finance qualification, will be considered but expertise in managing cash flow, managing project costs, analysing various income streams and return on investments is essential.

What you'll get in return
The organisation offers a salary of between £30,000 - £40,000 depending on experience, 28 days' holiday, pension, free car-parking on-site. We will also consider part-time candidates.
