Finance Manager - 6 Month FTC

NXTGEN are recruiting a fantastic Finance Manager role for a excellent business based in on the outskirts of Cambridge on an initial 6 month contract. It's exciting times for the business as they continue to go from strength to strength, as Finance Manager you will play an active role in ensuring teams have access to insightful finance information, the Finance Manager will take ownership for the delivery of month end close, producing MI reports to business partners and the senior leadership team that will support business decision. You will also play a key role in the statutory close for the business units.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

- Manage and deliver the month end close for your business units.

- Provide Commercial and Financial support to key customers.

- Ensure effective financial controls and compliance, including relevant provisions and balance sheet reconciliation's.

- Oversee accuracy of quarterly sales commissions and manage the UK credit control team.

- Lead cross-functional projects to enhance business efficiencies, improve reporting and increase the value added by the finance team.

- Assist in the preparation of annual 3 year business plans.

The successful candidate will ideally be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with prior experience within a similar role advantageous. Candidates will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills and will have the ability to manage and develop internal relationships with budget holders and business unit leaders. Any experience gained in globally operating businesses would be highly desirable but not essential. The ideal candidate will available at short notice and be able to start at the beginning of May.

Salary £55'000 - £65'000 (depending on experience)
