Robertson Bell are excited to be working with this leading multi-million-pound turnover property developer that has a nationwide presence, and ambitious development and growth plans. As the Finance Lead – Regeneration, you will play a key role in the success of its strategic aims whilst reporting to the Head of Strategic Finance and will take full responsibility for a large part of the organisation’s growth strategy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the key point of contact and providing commercial support to Executive Directors, Directors, and Heads of all directorates involved in the growth strategy, and fielding all questions relating to the life cycle of key projects.
  • Performing expert-level financial modelling and financial appraisal of large-scale (over £2bn) regeneration projects, stock disposals and stock upgrades, identifying favourable opportunities for investment and growth.
  • Providing strategic advice and support to senior stakeholders, presenting findings of financial analysis on the viability of development schemes.
  • Stress testing the financial plan of proposed and ongoing projects to ensure they remain in line with the organisation’s wider growth goals.

This Finance Lead – Regeneration offers a unique opportunity to take on a role outside of the day-to-day of core finance and have a huge influence over major projects that will allow for the accelerated growth of the organisation. The role will require infrequent (once a week) travel to their head office a short distance from Reading.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a fully qualified accountant with strong experience in financial modelling, investment appraisal, and financial appraisal of new business opportunities, preferably in a Real Estate, Construction or Property organisation.
  • Have Advanced Excel skills and proven successes in financial modelling used to influence strategic decision making at the most senior levels.
  • Have a strong Finance Business Partnering skillset with the ability to build powerful and successful working relationships.
