Finance Director
The Role
- Drive the financial planning of the business by analysing its performance and risks.
- Retain constant awareness of the company’s financial position and act to prevent problems.
- Ensure that funding is in place to support the growth aspirations of the business.
- Set up and oversee the finance IT system and wider IT for the business.
- Be a key member of the 5-person Executive Team.
- Support to the shareholders in respect of the SSAS pension and other financial matters.
The Responsibilities
- Manage and develop relationships with existing and new funders to support the growth aspirations of the business.
- Work with our accountants in the preparation of Statutory Accounts and Corporation Tax returns.
- Management of the Statutory Audit.
- Work closely with the other members of the Executive Team and the Business Development Directors to ensure that financial targets are met.
- Support the wider Business Development and Operations team to ensure that objectives are met.
- Preparation of the Strategic Plan and Annual Budget pack.
- Preparation of monthly Management Accounts and reporting to institutional funders.
- Preparation and management of cash drawdowns from institutional funders.
The Requirements
- Experience - proven experience in a finance-related environment. Track record of successful
- performance in a high-pressure role.
- Skills - People management skills are critical. Great planning, communication, and organisation ability.
- Capable of working alone whilst being a team player. Highly numerate and literate. IT - Microsoft Office, in particular Excel and ideally experience of implementing IT systems.
- Qualifications - Professionally qualified accountant with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience.
- Educated to at least A Level standard and pass our aptitude test.
- The ability to smile, laugh and have fun whilst under pressure.
- Full driving licence.
