Role - Finance Director Location - Bolton Salary - Between £100,000 and £120,000

Marks Sattin are currently recruiting for a growing retail and distribution business in their search for a Finance Director to work out of their office based in Bolton.

The successful candidate will need to be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified and must have worked for a SME business previously. Strong technical accounting skills are absolutely essential and any experience of working within a PE backed environment would be a distinct advantage. The ability to work 'hands on' is essential as this role will need someone to get into the detail of the accounts as well as assisting with the more strategic decisions. Excellent staff management skills are crucial as is the ability to work to tight deadlines. Key duties for the Finance Director role will involve:

  • Lead on budgeting and forecasting
  • Ensure month end and year end reporting is done timely and accurately
  • Lead on improving processes and systems throughout the organisation
  • Build relationships with banks, auditors etc.
  • Cash-flow management
  • Assist with the strategy of the business moving forward.
  • Analysis and improvement of the customer journey
  • Management of a small finance team

Salary for the role is anywhere between £100,000 and £120,000
