Reed Finance are working with a P/E backed, dynamic growing business.

Looking for an ACCA, CIMA, ACCA Qualified Accountant to join them as a Head of Finance/Finance Director.

This role will see you working alongside the CFO to continue the drive forwards.

This will be an ideal move for someone who has strong all round accounting skills who is looking to bring their skills to develop and grow a business.

If you are a keen to see actual real time improvements to the processes and structures you implement, this is ideal.

The company is located between Southampton and Portsmouth, with free on-site parking.

Offering one day WFH. With a potential for more flexibility once you are settled in.

Systems used are Sage and Xero. With an ERP transition on the horizon.

They are transactional focussed business.

Analysis is done through PowerBI. So, strengths in Forecasting, modelling and data analysis will be favoured.

Strong technical accounting skills will be a must. Alongside diligence and accuracy.

Most of all a “can-do” attitude and ability to turn your hand to what needs doing when it needs doing.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organisational goals.
  • Provide leadership to the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Manage a team of 10 in finance and accounts, reporting to you.
  • Drive financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • P&L reporting
  • Audit
  • Cash Flow Forecasting
  • Costs and Margin Analysis
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to provide strategic insights for decision-making.
  • Ensure financial reporting accuracy and transparency.

Skills / experience and attitude:

  • Proven experience as a FC or FD in an SME.
  • CIMA, ACCA, ACA Qualified Accountant.
  • Good knowledge of data analytics ideally with PowerBi.
  • Strong cash flow understanding.
  • Management, mentoring skills.
  • Diligent and accurate in checking your work.
  • Strong forecasting and analytical approach.
  • Able to communicate clear, concise and accurate information to the board.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
