The Company:
ER Recruitment are working exclusively with our client who are an award-winning financial services company who are based in Derby and can offer flexible, hybrid working.
They are a thriving company who are now looking for a Finance Data Technician to grow their passionate and lively team. The successful candidate will be ambitious, motivational and want to see success.

Role & Responsibilities of the Finance Data Technician:

  • Provide personalised mentoring to Data Technician apprentices, leveraging your expertise in finance analysis to support their growth and development.
  • Work closely with a Power BI trainer to ensure apprentices receive comprehensive guidance on both finance analysis principles and Power BI usage, facilitating their understanding and application of data analysis techniques.
  • Share your extensive knowledge and practical insights gained from years of experience in finance analysis, helping individuals understand the relevance and application of financial concepts in real-world scenarios.
  • Offer technical assistance and guidance to up-and-coming Financial Analysts in effectively utilising Power BI and other data analysis tools, ensuring they acquire the necessary skills to succeed in their roles.
  • Monitor apprentices' progress, identify areas for improvement, and provide constructive feedback to support their continuous learning and development.
  • Ensure that mentoring sessions align with the learning outcomes and competencies outlined in the assessment plan, helping meet the required standards.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in finance analysis and mentorship, continuously enhancing your skills and knowledge to better support apprentices.


About You as the Finance Data Technician:

  • Extensive experience as a finance analyst or similar role
  • A strong understanding of financial analysis principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with Power BI and other data analysis tools.
  • Proven track record of mentoring individuals in a professional setting
  • Ability to inspire and empower others to achieve their full potential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts and technical information in a clear and accessible manner.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for mentoring and coaching others, coupled with a desire to make a positive impact on the professional development of individuals.
