TSR Legal are working in partnership with a well respected legal firm. The search is underway for a seasoned Finance Controller/ Director someone who will be instrumental in overseeing the financial direction of a firm committed to legal excellence. This position is to support the department for a periods of 12 months; it's a chance to become a cornerstone in a team that values precision, integrity, and strategic acumen.
As the financial controller you will oversee the firm's accounts, ensuring compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) accounting rules, managing budgets, and preparing accurate reports that will influence key business decisions.
The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in finance, with a proven track record of success in similar roles. A keen understanding of legal accounting practices is paramount, as is a comprehensive grasp of SRA regulations. Your analytical prowess will be matched by your ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely to stakeholders at all levels.
Your qualifications should include a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) and a minimum of five years of experience in a finance role, preferably within a legal or professional services environment. Mastery of financial software and advanced Excel skills are expected, along with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of financial probity.
