On behalf of M&G, AMS are looking for a Finance Change Project Manager, for an initial 6-monthcontract, based hybrid in Edinburgh.

Purpose of the role:

To manage projects designed to help achieve the strategic objectives of the firm's transformation agenda, including new business growth initiatives within the Finance Change team. The team are looking for an experienced Project Manager with previous experience of Finance Change Management within the Financial Services sector. This is a great opportunity to work in a role that contributes enormous value to the company and offers valuable experience with senior stakeholders.

As a Finance Change Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Adhering with the Change Lifecycle and Standards, promoting a strong project governance framework.
  • Working closely with stakeholders within Finance to define project goals, scope and timelines and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Motivating a multi-disciplined team (and/or external) representatives to ensure the project delivers on time and within budget.
  • Identifying the key risks and issues that the relevant initiatives are running and ensuring mitigating/resolution actions are fully considered and managed.
  • Working closely with the PMO and other project leads, both within the Finance Change team and other business areas where necessary, to ensure consistency and alignment of the milestones delivered and any related dependencies.
  • Taking a hands-on role within the project, working with Finance professionals.
  • Escalating and resolving issues if they arise.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and taking personal accountability to maintain and enhance controls you are responsible for to support improvement of the overall control environment, customers outcomes and a reduction in M&G's operational risk.

What we require from the candidate:

  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Experience in project management, with a focus on the Insurance industry.
  • Strong analytic and proven problem-solving skills with an ability to negotiate pragmatic solutions to meet conflicting business requirements.
  • Excellent report writing skills so that key messages are understood.
