This Finance Business Support role supports the UAS finance business partner team whilst certain members of the team are involved in the EFT project, the UAS (unified Administrative services) team provides core administrative services to the University and this role will act as a financial intermediary between the UAS departments and central finance.
The main duties will involve -
- Support the UAS business partnering team in carrying out their responsibilities
- Provide account management support, ie monthly reports, analyse the data and variances.
- Monitor and review the accounts, review income and expenditure against targets
- Ensure that local procedures comply with the Universities financial procedures
- Act as a financial expert intermediary between the departments and the central finance division.
You will ideally be a part qualified accountant with several years experience working in a financial environment, strong influencing and analytical skills are essential in this role and you must be comfortable working with key stakeholders at varying levels.

The University is supportive of hybrid working, where some work is undertaken on University premises and some in a remote working environment. The aim of their approach is to enable as many staff as possible to work in a hybrid way if they wish and where their role allows.
This arrangement is subject to change and will not form a part of the contractual terms of the role. Funding for this post is available for 3 years in the first instance Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a basic disclosure and a security check.
