Greenwell Gleeson are exciting to be working for a large FMCG business based in Birmingham.

This newly created commercial Finance Business Partner role that reports into the Head of commercial Finance is seeking someone that can focus on partnering senior operational stakeholders and the wider business.


This exciting opportunity is offering hybrid working with only 2 days per week days on site

Responsilibities:

  • Ensure all accounting procedures and control systems comply with both statutory and company requirements.

  • To maintain and improve the costing and financial accounting systems in line with group standards and requirements

  • Maintain balance sheet accuracy.

  • Annually prepare the audit file for the statutory process and be the key contact for the external auditors

  • Work closely with and provide support to the management team.

  • Organise and value the stock takes including provisioning.

  • Preparation of capital expenditure requisitions for presentation to directors

  • Production of Variance analysis and commentary

  • Preparation and submission of VAT, Intrastat and PAYE returns

  • Drive ERP improvements for the benefit of operations and the business.

  • Ad hoc projects support to all sectors of the businesses in the group.

  • Preparation of the annual budget and presentation to directors

  • Improvement of management information

  • Liaising with key stakeholders to drive performance and improve the bottom line

Skills, Requirements, Qualifications

  • Accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA or CIMA)

  • 5 years' experience within a finance department

  • Experience of working for a FMCG or Multi National Company

  • Ability to communicate at all levels.

  • Experience of driving initiatives and co-ordinating activities with other dept leads.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Confidential and discrete.

  • Commercially astute, experience implementing new initiatives

  • Strong stakeholder management
