Finance Business Partner

This business has seen 40% growth in the past year and continues to grow in a niche industry. The business offers a niche product to customers with an assembly and Manufacturing capability.

With offices in Bedfordshire, they have an excellent opportunity for a Finance Business Partner. This is a permanent position offering private health, life cover, and a pension. 

The organisation works with high-value and low-volume products and long lead times. It therefore has a degree of complexity around sales due to this. As Finance Business Partner you will play a key role in driving sales initiatives.

The position reports to the Deputy head of Finance and collaborates closely with the Senior Finance Manager. You will manage pricing, billing, and customer asset financing tasks, with one direct report under your wing in the finance team. You'll team up with Sales and Operations, as well as external finance partners and customers, to deliver valuable insights and analysis that will benefit the entire organisation and leadership team.

You will collaborate closely with finance companies and brokers who help customers fund purchases while explaining any differences in performance compared to the budget/forecast and past periods. You will use both internal and external data to predict future performance. 

Assisting the Senior Finance Manager with management accounting and group reporting, you will also check and review balance sheet reconciliations. Your insight will be used to create short and long-term cashflow forecasts.

This is a commercial finance role. You will be a Qualified Accountant CIMA or ACCA/ACA (or suitably qualified by experience). Your experience will mean that you are skilled in communicating with colleagues, stakeholders, and customers at all levels of seniority. You must have worked previously in a commercial finance role. You will also have the ability to translate numbers into meaningful analysis.
