Finance Business Partner

JSS are working exclusively with an impressive multi-site retail business. They are currently seeking an ambitious Finance Business Partner to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an fast-growing business and is ideal for an individual currently working towards their ACCA/CIMA Qualification. A successful candidate will demonstrate impressive tenacity and attention to detail.

Main Responsibilities:

• Support the month end process by producing the P&L, analysing trends, key movements and provide commentary on material variances.
• Support the team to implement a strong culture of balance sheet discipline ensuring reconciliations are carried out regularly and action points are completed
• Drive strong process improvement across the finance function, identifying areas of weakness and ensuring new processes are adhered to
• Take ownership of producing monthly and quarterly packs summarising financial performance across all business streams
• Handle ad hoc queries regarding the management and statutory accounts
• Build strong working relationships across the business.
• Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analysing causes of unexpected variance and making recommendations for improvement where appropriate
• Interpret and advise on complex financial information. Ensuring information is understood, updated, and provided on time to drive business performance

Key Skills and experience:

• Working towards ACCA/CIMA/ACA Qualifications
• Ambitious self-starter, looking to develop.
• Good communication skills with ability to communicate cross-functionally with Key Stakeholders
• High level of integrity
• Proven experience within finance teams across all facets of the function, with a proven track record in a high growth environment.
• Previous experience in financial reporting and controls in medium to large sized business
