Finance Business Partner

As a Finance Business Partner, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting across all sectors and affiliated businesses. Not only that, but you'll also act as a key liaison for the wider business, providing insights, information, and spearheading process improvements. As the Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Coordinate the annual budget process, ensuring deadlines are met
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop detailed budgets
• Analyse budget figures critically and provide necessary challenges where needed
• Conduct thorough reviews and analysis of monthly management accounts
• Offer insights and challenge spending as necessary
• Assist in preparing monthly management account packs when required
• Analyse monthly balance sheets, identifying risks and opportunities
• Conduct monthly reviews with the Head of Finance and manage resulting actions
• Maintain 12-month rolling cash forecasts for reporting entities
• Prepare monthly cash flow reports, offering insights on variances and forecast changes
• Assist in preparing management accounts for reporting entities
• Aid in monthly reporting as necessary
• Critically review VAT returns for accuracy
• Ensure timely submission and resolve any irregularities
• Support business improvement projects
• Act as a finance partner for specific entities
• Cultivate relationships with stakeholders and provide accurate information and reporting support
• Manage finance deadlines and reporting calendar
• Mentor junior team members
• Support annual external audits
• Assist the Head of Finance with additional tasks as required

As the Finance Business Partner, you must demonstrate the followings skills and attributes:

• Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA or Finalist
• Strong financial accounting background with experience in monthly account preparation and review
• Proficiency in cash flow reporting, forecasting, and VAT reporting
• Budget and forecast preparation experience
• Demonstrated business partnering skills
• Intermediate Excel proficiency
• Experience in working across multi-site would be advantageous
