Our client is a highly successful, UK wide manufacturing and distribution business. Due to required expansion of the finance team, they are looking to recruit a suitably experienced person in the role of Finance Business Partner. 

As part of the wider management accounting team, you will support the onsite SLT with ongoing analysis and reporting on productivity, performance, cost management forecasting and budgeting. You would become a key player in the day to day and month end accounting process, delivering to internal deadlines, investigating variances, and working in partnership with management to provide accurate information.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Daily KPI monitoring, identifying any risks or concerns and agreeing actions. 
  • Labour cost analysis and performance variances to forecast
  • Transport costs analysis and efficiencies/optimisation.
  • Completing month end processes, processing journals, investigating variances and report to SLT.
  • Weekly reporting of month/quarter expectations.
  • Data analysis and reporting as required. 
  • Forecasting cost expectations based on monthly/quarterly shipment forecasts.
  • Assisting in the preparation of the annual budget presentation. 
  • Working closely with the wider operations team, challenging and raising efficiency and automation recommendations. 
  • Promoting a culture of business improvement across the business. 
Skills & Experience Required:
  • At least part-qualified in ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent
  • Advanced Excel skills, able to effectively and present data effectively. Power BI skills would also be desirable.
  • Previous experience in a similar finance role in a manufacturing and/or distribution and/or FMCG organisation would be preferred. 
  • Excellent communication skills and able to build professional working relationships at all levels in a business. 
  • Live within a reasonable commute to Banbury - hybrid working available.
