Finance, Audit and Risk Assurance Independent Committee Member
Independent Committee Member who has an understanding of the role of assurance in a business and/or a regulated environment, risk management frameworks and experience of the statutory financial reporting process is required as an Independent Board Member of an Audit and Risk Committee for a well-established housing association.
Finance, Treasury, Risk Management or Audit skills are essential to this role. However, a background in the housing sector is not essential, but may be beneficial.
ALLOWANCE: £2,533 per annum allowance
LOCATION: Committee meetings are held remotely, via Microsoft Teams
TIME COMMITMENT:
An average of approximately 4 hours per month
The Committee meets formally four times a year via Microsoft Teams with additional briefing and training sessions and on an 'exception’ basis as required.
Members are expected to allow sufficient time to read the documents associated with the meetings which can be significant in volume.
The Group provides all Committee Members with remote access to corporate information and facilities. This includes archived minutes, agendas, reports and monitoring information as well as access to office systems and the internet. It is considered essential that Committee Members are IT literate and have web access and will comply with internet and data protection policies.

We have a fantastic new opportunity for an Independent Committee Member who has an understanding of the role of assurance in a business and/or a regulated environment, risk management frameworks and experience of the statutory financial reporting process.
As the Independent Committee Member you will have Finance, Treasury, Risk Management or Audit skills.
The organisation is a G1/V2 organisation as rated by the Regulator of Social Housing. This means they are compliant with the Regulator’s Governance and Financial Viability Standard for registered providers of social housing.
