Finance Assistant

We are currently seeking a dedicated Finance Assistant for a temporary position with our client based in Folkestone, Kent. This role is ideal for someone who has a keen eye for detail and a passion for numbers. The successful candidate will support our finance team with daily accounting tasks, contributing to the efficient operation of the finance department.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly financial reports, including but not limited to, profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Processing invoices and managing accounts payable and receivable.
  • Reconciling bank statements and resolving discrepancies.
  • Assisting with budget preparation and expense management.
  • Handling sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
  • Learning how to work as part of the Accounting team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company or clients.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a finance role is preferred.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping skills.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
