Finance and Sales Ledger Assistant

  • Salary: Up to £26,000
  • Location: Great Yarmouth
  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Reed Accountancy and Finance in Norwich are looking for an experience accounts and sales ledger candidate to join our clients finance team as a Finance Assistant. This role is crucial for managing the Sales Ledger and Credit Control function within the finance department and ensuring timely and accurate processing of Accounts Receivable.

The ideal candidate will be the key point of contact for all customer invoice queries and will support the wider finance needs throughout the business.  

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage Credit Control function for the team.
  • Raise weekly and monthly invoices.
  • Maintain aged debt.
  • Perform weekly/monthly banking tasks.
  • Run reports, reconcile, and complete basic data analysis.
  • Assist the Management Accountant with month-end processes.
  • Process Direct Debit collections.
  • Handle all invoice queries and disputes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, being the main point of contact for issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Good knowledge of accountancy software.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to take initiative but work well within a team.
