Reed Accountancy are currently seeking a Finance Assistantto join a thriving engineering business. This position will be based in Liverpool and will report to the Group Financial Controller

Role Objective: The successful candidate will support all facets of transactional finance, ensuring that business requirements and deadlines are met. They will oversee and manage the input of information to provide accurate and timely management information reporting in accordance with accounting timetable deadlines.

The Role:

  • Maintain purchase ledger records and post monthly invoices, ensuring accurate and timely processing in line with accounting deadlines.
  • Prepare and process information in a timely manner to enable accurate monthly management accounts.
  • Process monthly expenses.
  • Manage intercompany balances and accounts to trial balance.
  • Produce intercompany balances.
  • Ensure all roles and responsibilities are carried out in accordance with business procedures.
  • Understand the importance of data confidentiality and uphold legal and ethical standards.
  • Establish and maintain effective and trusted relationships with colleagues.

The Person:

  • AAT, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with double entry.
  • Experience with Sage ideal
  • Proficiency with Excel and other software packages.
