Adept Resourcing Group is proud to be working alongside a world-class and globally recognised precision engineering company in their search for a Financial Assistant to join their Rotherham based Head Office.

The group as a whole boast a £30 Million t/o and as such are seeking to hire a Finance Assistant ensure the team if fully resourced in preparation for their upcoming changes.

We are searching for an AAT qualified Finance Assistant with a great personality and down to earth approach to their role who is looking for a role within a well-established, globally recognised and exciting company. Duties and Responsibilities of a Finance Assistant:

  • Processing supplier invoices/credit notes to the purchase ledger.
  • Processing weekly supplier payment runs and individual payments when necessary.
  • Verifying supplier statements with the purchase ledger records.
  • Dealing with all accounts payable queries via email and telephone calls.
  • Bank postings and reconciliations.
  • Processing invoice uploads from the production system to Sage.
  • Reviewing any price variances/discrepancies with purchase invoices and purchase orders within the month.
  • Maintain export documentation files for HMRC purposes.
  • Supporting the annual audit process by completing requested samples.
  • Review and update finance procedures to ensure relevant and adhere to company policy.
  • Perform credit control procedures to ensure timely receipt of cash and resolve any queries.
  • Any ad hoc tasks to support the Finance Manager and Financial Controller.

Finance Assistant Specifications:

Essential attributes:

  • Previous experience in Finance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Previous experience working with Sage package.
  • High individual and collaborative standards of quality and productivity.
  • Determination to offer the best experience both to internal and external customers.
  • A systematic, organised and efficient approach to problems and tasks.
  • Strong dependability.
  • A Strong ability to build good relationships and work as part of a team.
  • Resilience, determination and the ability to be flexible with your approach to change.

Desirable Attributes:

  • AAT Level 2 or AAT Level 3 qualification.
  • Previous experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Ability to lead, make decisions and motivate and inspire people to achieve objectives and goals.
  • Ability to gain clear agreement and commitment from others.
  • Ability to be persuasive.
  • Ability to negotiate terms favourable to all parties.
  • Ability to set clear objectives and regular measures of progress.
  • Strong commercial focus within the manufacturing and engineering industries.
  • An innovative and fresh approach to new ideas.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Annual Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 (Open to Discussion)
