The Company
This established FMCG business has an enviable reputation with an interesting and diverse product range. Due to their continued success and growth, they are keen to recruit a confident and experienced Finance Assistant looking to join an established and collaborative team in a diverse role, offering an excellent opportunity for greater professional development and reward.

The Role

  • Assisting with preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Bank reconciliation, ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation of bank statements
  • Monthly payment of PAYE/NIC/ to HMRC
  • Preparation and checking of quarterly VAT returns
  • Assisting with year-end accounts and statutory deadlines
  • Providing support and resolving any financial queries from internal stakeholders
  • Experience with accruals and prepayments and general accounting journal postings
  • Ownership and maintenance of the full purchase ledger
  • Prepare and maintain a 13 week rolling cash flow

The Person
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of bookkeeping and accountancy procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting. You will exhibit excellent communication skills, adept at fostering positive client relationships internally and externally across all levels in the business. With a strong attention to detail and good problem-solving and analytical abilities, you will also have a proactive and self-motivated approach able to excel both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
