Finance Assistant Maternity Contract

Elevation Accountancy and Finance are excited to be working alongside a fantastic business in the Kirby-in-Ashfield area as they look to recruit a Finance Assistant on a full time basis to cover a period of maternity leave however with the growth of the company there is definite potential for the role to go permanent.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Daily Cash and Bank Reconciliation including transactional posting and administration
• Inter-company account reconciliation
• Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations
• Prepare for annual external Audit and answering Auditor queries in a timely manner
• Supporting the team with improving finance reports and processes
• Weekly payroll and credit card expense analysis
• Head office cost control analysis
• Ad-hoc duties assisting finance team as required
• Any other tasks that you may reasonably be required to undertake

Person Specification:

• Currently Studying/Looking to Study AAT
• GCSE English Language and Maths (or equivalent) at a minimum of grade 5
• Previous experience in a financial role/study preferred 
• Confident in using Excel
• Confident in building strong relationships
• A professional approach, good communication skills and being highly motivated, ambitious and keen to learn
• An enthusiasm for business and finance
• Good interpersonal and organisational skills
• Diligent and comfortable and experienced in working to meet deadlines
