We are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated Finance and Payroll Administrator to join their growing team on the outskirts of Exeter. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a vibrant organisation that values their employees and offers a range of exciting perks and benefits.

?? Job Title: Finance and Payroll Administrator

?? Location: Exeter

?? Salary: £26,500 - £29,000 per annum, depending on experience

? Hours: Monday-Thursday 9-5 , Friday 9-4.30 (37 hours per week)

?? Job Purpose:

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance and Payroll Administrator will have dual responsibilities in providing payroll support and assisting with financial processing.

?? Key Responsibilities:

Payroll:

  • Manage the end-to-end processing of a complex payroll for approximately 700 team members, ensuring compliance with all payroll statutory requirements.
  • Respond to payroll-related queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and statistics for management.
  • Stay updated on payroll developments and contribute to process improvements.

Finance:

  • Support sales and purchase ledger processing, including month-end close processes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely completion of allocated balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist in the production and development of daily/weekly sales reporting.
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, and other team members as required.
  • Support the Finance Manager with any other tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the Finance function.

?? Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in computerised payroll.
  • Knowledge of HMRC payroll filing.
  • Competent in payroll administration.
  • Intermediate Excel skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Word and Email.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

�? Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of financial systems such as Sage 50 Payroll, Sage 200
  • CIPP qualified.
  • AAT part qualified.
