Full Time Permanent - Hybrid -with Thursdays in the Office.

VisionFRis helping our Client, an independent Communications agency recruit their first in-house Finance and Operations Manager to support the growth of the business. This role is at the heart of the agency, driving the financial management, reporting and performance as well as supporting key operations & business partnering with the founders of the business.

The role of the Finance and Operations Manager

  • Super user and system owner for the Paprika Finance system including associated administration e.g. opening jobs, setting up clients, running reports.
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash & bank as well as the payroll functions to ensure accurate and timely processing.
  • Own all aspects of month and year end reporting including coordinating with external accountants, tax advisors, and others as needed
  • Prepare and analyse financial reports, including budgets, revenue and profit forecasts, management reporting (profitability, utilisation etc), and cash flow projections
  • Implement and maintain tracking of key performance metrics and operational KPIs
  • VAT returns
  • Managing company insurance
  • Issuing contractor and employee contracts
  • Managing HR admin (in Charlie.hr)
  • Pension management and liaison
  • Employee onboarding and set-up
  • Reviewing client contracts with the help of legal resource where required
  • Office management support

Sills and Experience of the ideal candidate:

  • A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) QBE will be considered if they have strong experience.
  • The ideal candidate will thrive in a small but rapidly growing and profitable agency environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance and operations management, preferably in a small business or start-up creative environment
  • This is a hands-on (Sole Role) role that would suit an independent thinker and self-starter
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial analysis techniques
  • Proficiency in financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management software;
  • Experience with Paprika is a plus
  • This is a full-time role although 4 days would be considered
