This is working for an established SME business who are going through an expansion currently with lots of projects coming up and a great time to join this organisation.
Your new role
As the business scales up, this role is a key addition to the group finance team. The role encompasses some traditional elements of management accounting, but heavily indexes towards a forward-looking commercial accounting, analytical role. This is the first hire in a dedicated analytical role and as such, it requires some knowledge of "what good looks like" and the ability to implement new reports and financial models and analysis.
Summary of the role:

• Build, maintain and continually develop a framework of management information reporting & KPIs.
• Lead all budgeting, forecasting, and performance measurement.
• Instigate variances with analysis, establishing root causes and providing insights.
• Develop financial models to analyse SKU margins.
• Analyse and report trends in all areas of revenues, opex, capex, cash flow and inventory
• Provide periodic and on-demand analytics to facilitate strategic planning, budgeting & forecasting.
• Assist the FD to bring all the MI resources into communication materials that provide a full narrative to the Board & SMT for commercial performance and business decision-making.
• Contribute to multiple business development projects regards the impact on management information & reporting.
• Whilst building medium-term solutions, to provide pragmatic short-cut workarounds in the meantime.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified Accountant with solid commercial experience.
FMCG, manufacturing or other product-based business experience with multiple products/SKUs /Inventory
Strong data skills with familiarity of reporting /BI tools. Experience of managing high volume transactional data.
Advanced Excel modelling. Demonstrable experience of building models, templates, solutions from scratchWhat you'll get in return
