  • Location: Central London
  • Reports to: Senior Finance Business Partner
  • Salary £35,000-£42,000 + excellent benefits including, full study support, free travel and hybrid working - 3 days WFH 2 days working in the office based in Central London.
  • Hours of work 9am-5pm

Our client a leading transport operator, have a newly created exciting opportunity for a Junior Finance Analyst to join their friendly and welcoming team.

You will assist in the production of a high-quality annual business plan, quarterly forecast and period end reporting and analysis.  This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your accounting skills and gain a professional qualification in a fast-paced working environment.

day-to-day of the role:

  • Support with the period end close down, running system-based reports, posting journals and with a high level of accuracy, meeting the review session deadline.
  • Assist in the completion of high-quality forecasts, budgets and corporate plans to required deadlines.
  • Production of period end reporting packs including commentary and variance analysis
  • Support with audit queries
  • Produce and maintain budget and forecast templates using relevant reference data.
  • Ad hoc reporting requests from budget holders and supporting the wider FP&A team.
  • Work towards a recognised financial qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or equivalent where you will be supported.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Finance qualification, relevant degree or relevant work experience.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Experience within a commercial environment
  • Ability to demonstrate strong system/IT skills with an analytical mind–set enabling knowledge of how Finance systems work
  • Work within tight deadlines.
  • Ability to identify and proactively solve problems.
  • Build relationships across the business, whilst maintaining the ability to challenge.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to keep learning and improving your skills.
  • A quick learner, with an analytical mind–set.
  • Ability to within a fast paced and busy working environment
