We have a new opening for our medical systems distributor who are based in Milton Keynes for a Field Service Engineer who will be field based and cover the SW London area. This role will be to maintain and deliver an effective repair service to existing customers and offer excellent customer service to achieve company KPI’s and build good relations with the customers.

Key Responsibilities & Skills

  • Provide an effective repair service and achieve company KPI’s of first-time fix, meantime between failure, implementation of ECR’s and TB’s, performing PMI’s promptly and to provide effective technical phone support with customers, peers, and management effectively.
  • Product training will be given within the probationary period, this will involve spending time with more experienced FSE’s during the early stages of the role.
  • Ensuring full administration is up to date and records are kept up to date and the administration team are informed of ETA and completion times of the jobs set.
  • Company car, IT equipment, mobile phone & Bluetooth, and appropriate tools to allow you to carry out your job are provided.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • A full understanding that sensitive and confidential information must be treated in a strictly confidential manner.
  • The ability to time manage and balance demand and resource ensuring best performance levels.
  • Strong listening skills and attention to detail
  • A team player who works harmoniously with others to get the job done and responds positively to instructions and procedures.
  • This role needs someone who does what needs to be done without influence from other people or situations.
  • Has the ability to present and express ideas and proposals in a clear, accurate and structured manner.

Essential requirements:

  • Holds a full driving licence.
  • (HNC with relevant experience) or equivalent in electronic and mechanical engineering and pneumatic principles
  • Technical fault-finding skills
  • The ability to read and understand technical diagrams.
  • Needs to be focused - should strive to exceed customer requirements.
  • Has the flexibility and willingness to travel - support of peers and juniors throughout the UK, Ireland and Northern Ireland may be required.
  • A good working knowledge in MS Windows and general knowledge in MS Office products, Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint

Field based SW London, 5/7 days (37.5-hour week)

Salary £44k plus 13% bonus, company car and excellent benefits
