Field Service Engineer

• Annual Salary: Up to £45k
• Location: UK-wide (with a focus on UK and Ireland)

We are seeking a Lead Field Service Engineer for a UK leading specialist supplier of Radiation Monitoring systems. This role offers the potential for career progression into a Service Manager position. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, possess a “can do” attitude, and have strong technical and people management skills.

• Provide technical and people management when dealing with customers, subcontractors, and internal engineers during site installations.
• Attend customer sites to perform routine and preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Troubleshoot and perform diagnostics on malfunctioning equipment, determine possible causes for malfunctions, and carry out repairs.
• Install and commission equipment at customer sites across the UK and Ireland.
• Offer flexibility to support customers and attend sites at short notice and outside of normal working hours when required.
• Maintain accurate records of mechanical changes and document change logs.
• Continuously maintain and improve personal skills related to the position through experience and training.
• Act as the first line of support for any technical issues.

• Proven experience in field service engineering, preferably within radiation monitoring or a related field.
• Strong technical and people management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to diagnostics and repairs.
• Flexibility to travel and provide out-of-hours support.
• Full UK driving licence.
