We are currently seeking a Home Based Field Service Engineer to join our bespoke machinery company. This exciting role involves servicing clients both in the UK and internationally, providing rewarding challenges that require strong problem-solving skills and self-reliance. Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot machinery on-site
  • Conduct mechanical fault diagnostics
  • Engage with customers to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions
  • Travel to customer premises within the UK and internationally (60% UK and 40% international)
  • Manage diaries up to 3-6 months in advance
  • 70% of work will be planned services and 30% will be breakdowns

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 qualification in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in a Field Service Engineer role or similar capacity
  • Proficient technical knowledge of relevant equipment and systems
  • Strong mechanical skills, with some electrical fault finding abilities being advantageous
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Willingness to travel extensively

Pay, Benefits & Hours:

  • Competitive salary of up to £40,000 per annum, with a realistic OTE of £60,000
  • Pay begins from the moment you leave the door until you return home or to your hotel
  • Overnight allowance
  • Generous food and drink allowance
  • 40 hours per week, Monday-Thursday 0800-1700 and Friday 0800-1430
  • Company van, mobile phone, and laptop provided
  • 25 days of annual leave plus 8 bank holidays
  • Company pension scheme
