Field Service Engineer

Elevation Recruitment is working with a manufacturer based in Huddersfield to recruit a Field Service Engineer to join their team.

Salary: £25-40k

Hours: 38.75 hours – Monday – Friday 

Overtime: Monday to Saturday is paid at 1.5 – Sunday x2  

Travel - All travelling time is paid at a single rate – Sunday travel to ensure a start first thing Monday is paid at x 1.5

Reporting to the Aftermarket Manager, the Field Service Engineer will be responsible for working mostly within client sites to install, repair, warranty and maintain equipment ensuring the equipment maintains optimal running.

Duties & responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer include

• Carry out annual on-site servicing of all relevant product range
• Maintain allocated test equipment, ensure calibration is current and certification is available for issue to clients
• Work within the parameters of the company production schedule and the customers' shutdown periods
• Carry out work activities following specifications, test methods and procedures
• Ensure that all sales prospects, and enquiries, are professionally relayed back to the office for effective processing
• Ensure correct execution of all Company documentation
• Submit status/service reports promptly
• Actively promote the after-sales growth through new Spares, Service and Up-grade enquires
• Participate in other areas of the business for example relocations and upgrade work

Due to the nature of the Field Service Engineer role, there is a large element of working away so, we are looking to speak with people who are happy with overnight stays and have a full UK driving licence.
