Family Paralegal - Birmingham
Office Based
Salary Negotiable - Experience Dependant

I’m delighted to be working with a leading specialist firm in Birmingham, who are currently going through a fantastic period of growth an expansion. As a result, they are keen to add a Paralegal to their Family team in Birmingham. They would like to recruit a Paralegal with 1+ years experience of working in a Family Department. 

Based in modern, well-equipped offices, close to local commuter links and with nearby parking, this role would suit an experienced Paralegal / Legal Secretary, able to travel to Worcester.

Duties and responsibilities of the Paralegal:
  • Dealing with and downloading dictation onto the Case Management System, ALB.
  • Dealing with emails
  • Ensuring all court hearings are in the court diary and maintaining that the diary is up to date for the Fee Earners you are assigned to with all key dates
  • Inputting Time Recording
  • Ability to provide a full range of admin support to include but not limited to, preparing bundles, scanning documents, checking transcribed letters and formatting the same.  Saving emails and documents on to the firms case management system in an organised manner so that they can be identified efficiently. Checking the LAA portal to ensure all notifications are dealt with.  Time recording for fee earners as required.  Save and record key dates of any Court Orders received.
  • Chase courts and police stations for updates on behalf of clients and fee earner and arrange prison visits as required.
  • Booking Appointments in the office, prisons, hospitals etc
  • To attend court
  • Document management (Checking letters sent off for transcribing etc)
