Opportunity

To supervise and support the facilities team in order to provide a comprehensive facilities service and safe working environment for all.

Main duties:

  • Opening / closing of buildings and security alarms
  • Assisting in maintain a clean and welcoming environment
  • Log, respond to, resolve jobs raised by the central helpdesk
  • Coordinate compliance maintenance activities such as emergency lighting testing, appliance testing, testing of fire alarm call points
  • Arrange ground maintenance relating to leak clearing of gullies and guttering, snow clearance and the gritting / salting of pathways
  • Arrange disposal of refuse and items of redundant furniture and equipment within WEEE regulations
  • Ensure internal mail, small packages, receiving good deliveries are stored securely
  • Checking on completion of contracted work and signing of where necessary
  • Step in for the Head of Estates in their absence
  • Assisting with setting up of rooms and open spaces for events
  • Undertake basis maintenance and attend to emergency repairs
  • First point of contact for contractors and suppliers
  • Provide permits to contractors
  • We are looking for someone who:
  • Have experience of supervising others and can demonstrate leadership
  • Is proactive and self-motivated
  • Hold a full UK driving license
  • Flexible
