Premier Recruitment Group is working in partnership with a well established and international organisation in Dartford to recruit a Facilities Multitrade Engineer/Handy Man to join their team. This is an exciting, full-time and 3 months contract role with possibility of further extension.

The role:

We are currently seeking a Facilities Multitrade Engineer/Handy Man who will directly report to Engineering manager. This role will be working core hours from Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

The main responsibilities:

  • The handling of all Facilities work related to the upkeep of buildings and general site as generated within Facilities department or through Help Desk system.
  • Support to Facilities & Engineering Manager, Facilities Supervisor and Facilities Engineers in maintaining site to the required standard including routine and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Handling of other site or Operations based functions as directed by Facilities Supervisor.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

  • Provide Facilities assistance in handling all work requirements, both reactive and planned, connected with the upkeep of buildings and site in general.
  • Complete tasks as required generated through the Help Desk system.
  • Maintain and organise the Facilities Departments storage and work spaces.
  • Assist Facilities & Engineering teams on projects as requested
  • Suggest and implement improvements to working practises where possible
  • Ensure all SOP's, Risk Assessments and other Procedures are understood and followed.
  • Contribute to overall Operations Team efforts and initiatives.
  • Execution of associated tasks as requested in agreement with Facilities & Engineering Manager and Facilities Supervisor.
  • Taking reasonable care for your own health and safety and consider the health and safety of others who may be affected by your acts or omissions.
  • Reporting all EHS/QA incidents so they can be investigated, and corrective and preventative actions put in place.

Required Education/Experience/Qualifications

  • C&G level qualification in a trade related discipline, electrical, plumbing, carpentry etc.
  • Good building and M&E knowledge, and fault finding.
  • Basic fabrication knowledge.
  • Good understanding of HSE guidelines.
  • Has worked in a manufacturing environment.
  • Welding experience are also desirable.

The ideal candidate would have experience in the following:

  • Demonstrated experience in working within a pharmaceutical, or related industry, environment.
  • Ability to undertake a wide range of Facilities related tasks
  • IT Literate
  • Proven ability to balance multiple, competing priorities
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and a good team player, proactive and flexible approach
