EYFS Teacher (Phonics Focus)

Location: LS6 (Meanwood), Leeds

Daily Rate: £135-£185 (Experience Dependent)

Are you an experienced EYFS Teacher with a passion for teaching with a strong understanding of phonics? We're seeking a dedicated individual to join a diverse primary school supporting young learners in their early year's education journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality Phonics education within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  • Creating engaging lesson plans and activities that promote language development and early literacy skills.
  • Providing individualized support to students to ensure their progress in phonemic awareness and reading fluency.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and parents to support student learning and development.
  • Managing challenging behaviours effectively, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching in Early Years settings.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Phonics teaching methods, including experience with structured phonics programs.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, parents, and students.
  • Proven ability to manage challenging behaviours in a classroom setting.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN.
