EYFS (RECEPTION) TEACHING ASSISTANT - LANCASTER - 2 MORNINGS PER WEEK

A primary school in Lancaster is looking for a Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in their EYFS (Reception) class.

The hours will be Thursdays and Fridays, 8.40am until 12.45pm. Additional hours can also be offered on an ad hoc basis.

This position will be a one to one TA position, supporting a pupil with autism speech and language developmental hurdles.

Duties will include:

  • Preparing activities and lessons
  • Delivering engaging sessions
  • Supervising and providing particular support and encouragement for the pupil
  • Ensuring pupils safety and access to learning activities
  • Supporting pupils with specialist needs and implementing IEPs
  • Phonics

Teaching Assistant Key Information:

  • Lancaster area
  • Thursdays and Fridays, 8.40am until 12.45pm
  • £13 per hour
  • To start from ASAP

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum of Teaching Assistant level 2 qualification
  • Experience and knowledge of EYFS (Early Years Framework Stage)
  • Experience with supporting pupils with autism and speech and language developmental hurdles
  • Phonics experience and knowledge
  • Adaptable and flexible to support the class teacher and to suit needs of pupils.
  • Available full time for the duration of the assignment
