We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Leader to join our vibrant school community in Watford.


Location: Watford, Hertfordshire
Start Date: September 2024
Teacher Main Pay Scale (MPS) + TLR - dependent on experience + skills


Randstad is working closely with our parternship school in Watford, who are looking for a QTS EYFS leader that is committed to joining a team that provides a nurturing and stimulating environment where every child can flourish. Role Overview:
As the Early Years Foundation Stage Leader, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of the EYFS provision in this school. You will lead a dedicated team of educators, inspiring them to deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences that cater to the diverse needs of young learners. Your responsibilities will include curriculum planning, assessment, staff development, and fostering positive relationships with parents, carers and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the EYFS team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities
  • Oversee the implementation of the EYFS curriculum, ensuring alignment with statutory requirements and best practices
  • Monitor and assess the progress of children in the EYFS, identifying areas for intervention and enrichment
  • Foster strong partnerships with parents and carers, maintaining open lines of communication and providing support as needed
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to drive whole-school initiatives and contribute to strategic planning

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Extensive experience working within the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS framework and its practical application
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice
