MacKenzie King are currently recruiting an External Audit Delivery Manager for a global organisation with a base in Ipswich. You will play a crucial role in managing the life cycle of the external audit engagement and be the key contact between the business, IT teams and auditors to oversee and manage the end to end audit engagement. This will involve ensuring that external audit deliverables are complete and accurate, regulations are adhered to and that the group and statutory reporting timetable is managed and communicated. You will also work across various stakeholder groups in finance, both internally and externally, to enable efficiency and value adding processes across the audit life cycle.

Duties and responsibilities to also include:

- Providing data to the external auditors, ensuring requirements are anticipated and understood.

- Implement effective KPI reporting to senior stakeholders to ensure the audit status is communicated and understood

- To oversee the Audit Fee budget on behalf of the Head of Group Accounting and Reporting, ensuring all costs are fully understood; payments and accruals made as appropriate.

- Communicate and manage the audit timetable to inform responsible parties and ensure deadlines are met.

The business is looking for:

- The ability to influence multiple finance and non-finance stakeholders to achieve desired results.

- Significant personal experience of external audit assignments, preferably as an auditor.

- Qualified or qualified by experience accountant.

- Confident in applying project management principles to manage complex timetables and deliverables to tight deadlines.
