Our client, a central London based Trade Association, are looking for a bright and enthusiastic candidate to join their External Affairs team! As an External Affairs Assistant, you will be an integral part of helping to support the wider External Affairs team, with a key focus on assisting with social media, and campaign activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with great media and publishing based experience, and who is eager to progress within their career!

Duties will include, but aren't limited to:

  • Supporting the External Affairs manager and the wider External Affairs team
  • Respond to both internal and external queries promptly and constructively, including media queries.
  • Help develop and deliver social media content in line with company guidelines
  • Taking responsibility of digital communications in the absence of relevant team members

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role
  • Relevant formal qualification and or evidence in media relations or communications
  • Experience managing social media channels, including drafting, editing and scheduling online posts
  • Ability to meet deadlines, work on own initiative and be proactive
  • Excellent attention to detail, editorial, writing and communication skills
